UPDATE : There are now lots of sites selling PSPs (far too many for one guy to keep up with) I will try to concentrate on those available to the UK but if anyone wants to help let me know.
Here are some tables helping you to get an idea of how much ones of these will set you back through the various sources.
Im only looking at the Value Pack because personally I think there is no point it getting it without one.
Prices are all in GBP and include standard shipping.

Importers
Buying from an Importer - provides you with more security and the possibility of a warranty if your Unit packs up. It maybe worh checking how this covers dead pixels as some buyers have reported problems. However, the courier's VAT system is likely to be automatic so there is virtually no chance of you not having to pay VAT.

These are the pre-order prices for the UK and some for the US release, which is 18 March 2005 (according to Amazon) or 25 March (according to rumors of a leaked Sony document)
The UK release date is currently unknown but is likely to be end of May/June

Ebay
ebay is obviously a good place to buy but be careful, the PSP scene has attracted a lot of scammers. Some of the sellers will probably be able to get through customs with no VAT but its the risk you take. Check how much they want for postage, if its under £10 its probably in the UK already so you don't have to worry about the tax.
